WVACHE Accepting Proposals For Project Grants

Charleston, W.Va. - The West Virginia Access Center for Higher Education (WVACHE) is accepting proposals from West Virginia public high schools for the 2005-07 round of Access Project Grants.  

These grants must be used to implement a proven model program of activities that encourage student to consider and prepare for higher education. Eligible high schools may apply for up to $10,000 per year for two years.  

The 13 West Virginia high schools that currently have WVACHE Access Projects have average 45 percent increase over pre-intervention college-going rates.  

The deadline for proposals is June 30, 2005.
