State Board Seeks Public Comment on Policy Revisions

CHARLESTON, W.Va. _ The West Virginia Board of Education is seeking input on two policies that have been placed on a 30-day public comment period.

During their March meeting, board members placed on comment revisions to Policy 2520.19: 21st Century Advisor/Advisee 5-12 Content Standards and Objectives for West Virginia Schools. The policy updates add objectives and indicators for grades 5-8 to the current standards that are aligned with national career transitions and school improvements initiatives.
The board also is seeking input on Policy 3233: Establishment and Operation of Regional Education Service Agencies (RESAs). The revisions incorporate final recommendations of the RESA Stakeholders Group.
