And now applications for 2007-2008 are being accepted. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, the Fulbright Teacher Exchange is open to educators and administrators from kindergarten through four-year colleges and universities.
Interested educators must be U.S. citizens, fluent in English, have three years teaching experience, a bachelor’s degree or higher and currently hold a teaching or administrative position. Applicants also must meet country specific, subject level and language requirements. There is no age limit and educators are encouraged to bring their families along on the exchange.
Participating countries include: Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Mexico, Morocco, Romania, Slovak Republic, Thailand, Turkey, Uruguay and the United Kingdom.
