West Virginia K-12 Education Job Bank Now On-line

May 07, 1999

State Superintendent Dr. Henry Marockie announced today the debut of the West Virginia Department of Education K-12 Education Job Bank. The job bank is available on-line at the department's website at http://wvde.state.wv.us.

The new tool will allow Internet users to search for job openings in the public school systems in all 55 West Virginia counties. "The WVDE Job Bank is truly a 21st century information tool," said Marockie. "Individuals across the state and the country can now find out what job openings are available for both educators and service personnel. In addition, it is a great way to match future teachers with job opportunities in the Mountain State."

The West Virginia Department of Education also forwards the job postings to national job boards as well as education placement agencies thereby multiplying exposure for each position.

The job bank features teaching positions, administrative positions, and school service personnel jobs including cooks, custodians, bus drivers and others.
