Title PrincipalGrade Level MiddleDescription Provide instructional leadership and support within the school building
· Coordinate the delivery of instruction goals and objectives
· Create a climate conducive to teaching and learning
· Assume full administration of the school
· Assist in distribution and inventory of textbooks and instructional supplies
· Supervise and evaluate the faculty and staff, including extracurricular assignments
· Prepare Federal, State, and County reports
· Create supervisory schedule for teachers and students
· Coordinate ancillary services necessary for the operation of the school, including, but not limited to, budgeting, transportation, support services,
· Assist the staff with student relations, staff development, community relations, student discipline, student attendance, student supervision, the instructional program, special education and the Local School Improvement Council
· Implement and administer regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to student conduct
· Assist in arranging for substitute teachers and providing appropriate orientation and evaluation of their performance
· Promote a positive school environment, including positive utilization of the faculty senate
· Perform other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent Job Location or School Name Mountain View Elem/Middle City Union County Monroe Qualifications Masters Degree
Hold a valid West Virginia administrative certificate at the appropriate programmatic level (K-8)
Completion of the WV Evaluation Leadership Institute
Minimum three years successful teaching and three years administrative experience; preference for experience at grade levels K through 8
Successful completion of interview process, as determined by the superintendent and/or interview committee
Knowledgeable in elementary/middle school curriculum
Knowledgeable in County, State, and Federal policies
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others and as a member of an educational team
Effective written and oral communication skills
