Charleston, W.Va – Students across the state can now be registered for the West Virginia Social Studies Fair via the Internet. The website, http://www.wvssfair.com, is being launched this month in an effort to better serve the schools and students.

“This is a wonderful tool for participants, county coordinators, judges and parents,” said West Virginia Department of Education Social Studies Coordinator Sharon Flack. “For the first time in its history, all registration will be done electronically.”

County Fair directors will be able to enter and edit project registration data on a secure link. The new website also contains resources such as Fair rules and regulations, project abstracts, lodging information and driving directions.

This year’s Social Studies Fair is scheduled to take place on May 14 – 15 at the Charleston Civic Center.
