Policy 4350 was recently revised to incorporate changes mandated by the federal No Child Left Behind Act. The federal law requires county boards of education to provide military recruiters, upon request, with the names, addresses and telephone listings of secondary school students. However, a parent or guardian can ask the county board of education not to disclose their child’s information unless provided with written consent.
Policy 4350 will remain out on comment for 30 days. School administrators and parents are encouraged to review the document and make suggestions on improving the policy. You can find Policy 4350 by logging onto http://wvde.state.wv.us/policies/
