Students in elementary, middle and high school competed in categories ranging from state and local government to economics to anthropology.
“The State Social Studies Fair offers students the chance to exhibit their knowledge on various subjects on a much larger scale,” said Sharon Flack, Social Studies Coordinator for the WVDE. “It’s so wonderful to see such creative and knowledgeable projects.”
Students who were invited to compete at the Social Studies Fair advanced by winning their school and county’s events. The Social Studies Fair is an annual event displaying the intellectual and creative talents of West Virginia students in social studies.
