“It is an honor to be part of such a significant event,” said Dee Braley, Executive Director of OSE. “The teams representing the Department will allow other states to see how West Virginia has progressed with regards to positive behavior and student responsibility.”
The selected presentations are a result of the WVDE’s Responsible Student Through School-Wide Positive Behavior Support initiative. The first team will describe the initiative and its impact in West Virginia. The second team will focus on the encouraging data trends in both behavior and achievement at the secondary level when the department’s Responsible Students’ initiative is implemented with the Positive Behavior Supports initiative.
Both presentation proposals were evaluated by independent reviewers and selected from a large number of national and international submissions.
