To be eligible for the program, schools must have current accreditation status, and subtests and basic skills tests must be at or above the 50th percentile. They also must have an attendance rating of at least 93 percent, and they must be in their sixth full year of operation.
Last year, 18 West Virginia schools were named Schools of Excellence and continue to serve as exemplary models of teaching and learning for the state’s educators.
