Autumn Chapman and Emily Arthur, members of the school’s chapter of the West Virginia Health Occupations Students (WV HOSA), claimed first place in the medical reserve corp. division at the HOSA National Leadership Conference earlier this summer. Giberson will honor the students during a school assembly entitled, “West Virginia Teens Healthy Choices and Lifestyles” at the Lewisburg school on Friday, Sept. 24, at 9 a.m.
Giberson’s address culminates a week of events sponsored by the student HOSA group to educate students on a variety of topics, including seatbelts and traffic safety, proper drug use and drug abuse, disease prevention and emergency preparedness.
