The featured speaker on the first day of the conference, Richard Stiggins, a leading national expert on 21st assessments for learning, will provide an overview of the importance of a balanced assessment system in implementing 21st century learning. Day two of the conference will feature Susan Leddick, a national leader in strategic planning, who will tell us how to “Lead With Your Plan by Moving from Planning to Action.” Day three will allow School System Leadership Teams to select from a variety of breakout sessions that include an overview of resources and exemplars to support 21st century learning. As in previous conferences, team meetings will be arranged for team reflection, assessment and planning.
In addition to the established county leadership team, each county may choose to bring principals and teacher leaders, who will share this information and support the school system’s improvement efforts. Please make sure all team members register online to confirm their attendance. Staff members from RESAs, West Virginia Department of Education and other education agencies also should complete the online registration.
