Nominations Being Accepted For 2006 Toyota Family Literacy Teacher Of The Year Award

Charleston, W.Va. - The National Center for Family Literacy and Toyota are teaming together to honor excellence in family education with the 2006 Toyota Family Literacy Teacher of the Year Award. The award honors educators who demonstrate exemplary efforts to help parents and children achieve their academic and non-academic goals.  

The 2006 Toyota Family Literacy Teacher of the Year will receive a $5,000 award for his/her program from Toyota and will also receive a trip to the 15th Annual National Conference on Family Literacy in Louisville, Kentucky in March. Several finalists will be selected and will receive free registration to the conference and a $500 scholarship toward expenses.  

Deadline for nominations is October 1, 2005.
