The EETT program’s focus is to have a Technology Integration Specialist (TIS) in the school(s) who will provide and/or coordinate appropriate professional development activities for all teachers and administrators in the schools. Each TIS will receive 40 days of professional development so they will be able to effectively assist teachers in their school(s) with technology integration into the curriculum to improve student achievement.
The goals of this program are to: § Improve student academic achievement through the use of technology in schools; § Assist every student in crossing the digital divide by ensuring that every student is technologically literate by the end of the eighth grade; and § Encourage the effective integration of technology with teacher training and curriculum development to establish successful research-based methods.
