QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
High School Diploma or  
GED; 
 
Hold valid WV Master  
Plumber's License issued by  
the West Virginia Division  
of Labor; 
 
Minimum of four (4) years  
of Plumbing related wage- 
earning experience OR  
Bachelor's Degree or  
Associate's Degree and two  
(2) years of Plumbing  
related wage-earning  
experience 
Must hold or be eligible  
for a Career Technical  
Certificate or Career  
Technical First-Class  
Permit endorsed, Plumber and  
Pipefitting 5-AD. 
Must pass a Basic Skills  
Tests as required for all  
Career and Technical  
Education programs. The  
applicant will also be  
required to successfully  
complete vocational  
coursework from the WVU  
Institute of Technology  
which includes a required  
two-week summer program in  
order to complete  
appropriate Vocational  
Certification. 
Required FBI and State  
Police criminal background  
check. 
 
AREAS OF INSTRUCTION: The  
Plumbing and Pipefitting  
Teacher is assigned to  
deliver a comprehensive  
instructional program of  
study. The teacher is also  
responsible for the 
facility, equipment,  
curriculum, and safety. The  
teacher is responsible for  
complying with federal,  
state and local laws,  
policies and procedures for  
career and technical

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
The Plumbing and Pipefitting  
teacher is responsible for  
teaching applicable CTE  
AR2140 Plumbing  
courses adhering to CTE  
content standards and  
objectives and shall have  
the following duties and  
responsibilities: 
Implement, evaluate and  
improve the program of study  
developed by the state and  
county in the  
specialization to which the  
teacher is assigned. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Foster a classroom climate  
conducive to learning. 
 
Utilize instructional  
management systems models  
that increase student  
academic achievement. 
Monitor student progress  
toward mastery of the  
instructional goals and  
objectives. 
 
Communicate effectively  
within the educational  
community and with parents  
on a regular basis. 
Meet professional  
responsibilities associated  
with the position. 
 
Implement the activities  
required under the State  
Department of Education's  
Technical and Adult  
Education Services Policies  
and Procedures Manual and  
Public Law 94-482. 
Provide a safe learning

equipment in safe,

Sponsor vocational clubs  
appropriate to the
