Advanced Placement® Summer Institute

The Advanced Placement (AP)® Summer Institute is a subject-specific professional learning opportunity. It provides teachers with support and training needed to teach AP courses and to utilize AP teaching strategies.

Graduate Credit:

Three hours of graduate credit will be available through Marshall University and West Virginia University. Representatives from each university will be present at the institute to assist participants with registration and take payments.

Lodging will be provided to those living at least 50 miles from University High School. Qualifying participants will stay at the Holiday Inn-University Area. Participants must contact the hotel directly to reserve the room on a credit card. The lodging charges will be direct billed to WVDE upon check-in of the hotel. Participants needing to cancel their reservations must do so directly with the hotel to avoid credit card charges.
