Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide end user support for WVEIS and WVEIS on Web (WOW) in areas of Student, Finance, Payroll and Human Resource systems. 
2. Assist all counties as a central call center. 
3. Provide support for device connections to the IBM iSeries including display and printing sessions and support for remote printing. 
4. Provide query/ad hoc reporting for counties and schools. 
5. Assist counties and schools with data requests and interconnections with vendors. 
6. Assist with new year and end of year procedures. 
7. Provide FormSprint support for counties. 
8. Assist counties with certified collections. 
9. Assist data management team with program issues and error resolution for WVEIS/WOW applications. 
10. Assist in ensuring data accuracy. 
11. Provide support experience to data management team to assist in enhancing end user experience. 
12. Performs other duties as assigned. 
 
EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP: 
Department of Education staff are employed upon recommendation of the State Superintendent of Schools and are state employees. No representative or employee of the state is authorized to enter into any employment contract or other agreement. Department staff work under the direction of the State Superintendent of Schools for the general supervision of the free schools in the state and implementing the policies of the board and other necessary tasks as determined by the State Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee. Each employee is “at-will” and subject to termination by the State Superintendent of Schools at any time, with or without notice, cause or compensation. 
 
The employment relationship between the State Superintendent of Schools and the employee may be terminated by either party. Reasons for termination by the State Superintendent of Schools include, but are not limited to, immorality, incompetency, cruelty, insubordination, intemperance, willful neglect of duty, unsatisfactory performance, the conviction of a felony or a guilty plea or a plea of no contest to a felony charge, misuse of funds or property, violations of law or policies of the state board, lack of need, or a lack or loss of funding. 

Qualifications
1. Bachelor Degree in Information Technology Field preferred, minimum of 5 years of experience in an advanced system support position. 
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the West Virginia Education Information System (WVEIS), experience with the finance and payroll systems a plus. 
3. Demonstrated experience with query products and methods for producing ad hoc reporting. Specific experience with Sequel Viewpoint, Query400, and FormSprint a plus.
