Duties and Responsibilities
Executive Director, Office of Data Management will oversee the operations of the Data Management team, work with Data Management team to coordinate and facilitate projects, and coordinate communications to schools, counties, and state stakeholders. 
 
1. Reports to the Senior Administrator of Data Management and Information Systems. 
2. Works closely with other Executive Directors in the office to ensure a common message and purpose. 
3. Coordinates all areas of Data Management across the office to meet the needs of various federal and state reporting requirements. 
4. Assesses the needs of projects requested to ensure they align to the goals of a comprehensive data system. 
5. Provides leadership, defines strategies, and monitors projects to ensure timelines are met for completion. 
6. Effectively manages multiple projects, staff, and processes to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner. 
7. Effectively communicates direction and purpose of the office to meet the needs of districts. 
8. Efficiently manages multiple projects, staff, and processes to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner. 
9. Assists Senior Administrator and department team in analyzing data for the strategic plan of the Board of Education. 
 
EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP: 
Department of Education staff are employed upon recommendation of the State Superintendent of Schools and are state employees. No representative or employee of the state is authorized to enter into any employment contract or other agreement. Department staff work under the direction of the State Superintendent of Schools for the general supervision of the free schools in the state and implementing the policies of the board and other necessary tasks as determined by the State Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee. Each employee is “at-will” and subject to termination by the State Superintendent of Schools at any time, with or without notice, cause or compensation. 
 
The employment relationship between the State Superintendent of Schools and the employee may be terminated by either party. Reasons for termination by the State Superintendent of Schools include, but are not limited to, immorality, incompetency, cruelty, insubordination, intemperance, willful neglect of duty, unsatisfactory performance, the conviction of a felony or a guilty plea or a plea of no contest to a felony charge, misuse of funds or property, violations of law or policies of the state board, lack of need, or a lack or loss of funding.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree required. 
2. Minimum of three years in a business management environment. 
3. Experience with managing various projects from conception to completion. 
4. Knowledge of information management systems. 
5. Thorough understanding of data security and privacy practices and policies. 
6. Proven effective presentation skills and has the ability to provide information in a variety of means. 
7. Proven excellent writing and editing skills. 
8. Willingness to monitor and respond to office communication via e-mail or other appropriate methods while out of the office for work-related travel/meetings, to the extent practicable, to assure the completion of work and/or response to unanticipated work issues in a timely manner. 
9. Possesses strong problem solving abilities marked by flexibility and creativity. 
10. Must be willing to travel as necessary. 

Desired Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Administration or Information Systems preferred.

Salary
$92,708.00 annually
