The West Virginia Department of Education has partnered with the Verizon Foundation to roll out Thinkfinity which provides 21st century learning resources.

• Thinkfinity has been rated the #1 site for free educational downloads two years in a row (2006, 2007) by Edutopia, from the George Lucas Foundation;
• Thinkfinity offers over 4,000 lesson plans that will soon be aligned to the new West Virginia Content Standards and Objectives;
• Thinkfinity offers over 55,000 student interactivities, movies, websites and other educational content provided by national organizations including:

•  The National Council for Economic Education
•  The National Endowment for the Humanities
•  The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics
•  The International Reading Association
•  The American Association for the Advancement of Science
•  National Geographic
•  The Smithsonian National Museum of American History
•  The National Center for Family Literacy
•  The National Council of Teachers of English
•  ProLiteracy Worldwide
