The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation provides educational grants to explore forces shaping student learning and educational experiences in and out of school in the 21st century through rapidly evolving new technologies, including digital media. The foundation provides grants for research and efforts to develop new learning environments and to understand how schools need to adapt to change as a result of young people's use of digital media.

Organization of American Historians solicits applications for the 2010 OAH Tachau Teacher of the Year Award, which recognizes the contributions made by apre-collegiate or classroom teachers to improve history education. Application deadline 12.1.09.

Digital Humanities start-up grants from the National endowment for the Humanities solicits applications for programs designed to encocurage innovations in the digital humanities. Application deadine 11.06.09, but applicants are encouraged to apply early.

Fulbright-hays Group Projects Abroad

ARRA: Environmental Internships (USFWS)
The US Fish and Wildlife Service seeks to help develop conservationists and ecologists through activities located at wildlife refuges, fish hatcheries, and ecological services offices across the United States. Grants range from $1,000 to $500,000. Application deadline 9.30.09
