American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
Enhancing Education Through Technology funds
West Virginia received $3,950,012 from the federal government through ARRA at the end of June, 2009. Of that money, 5% is allocated for administration costs and other activities to meet the purposes of the EETT program. The rest of the funds will be used for Formula and Competitive grants.
One half of the remaining funds ($1,876,256) is being distributed as Formula grants. Counties that receive Title 1 funds will receive the same percentage of Formula funds. Since all counties in WV receive some Title 1 funds, all counties will receive Formula funds if they complete the application and sign the assurances form. The Office of Technology has developed an ARRA EETT Formula application that is part of the five year technology plan. If you have questions about completing this process, please contact Karen Karr at 304.558.7880.
