Assessment/Data Analysis
Within the Response to Intervention framework, instructional decisions are based on student data. In mathematics, it is important to identify students’ specific strengths and weaknesses with respect to both conceptual understanding and procedures. Because of the complexity of mathematics, multiple assessment tools may be used to assess student learning. In order to monitor a student’s progress toward mastery of the grade level curriculum (WV CSOs), assessment tools need to be aligned with the WV CSOs.
