Who do I contact for information about the program?

Please email sustainableschools@wvde.state.wv.us. The WV Sustainable Schools program is being coordinated by an advisory council made up of representatives from WVDE, state agencies, private industry, and nonprofit partners from around the mountain state. The advisory council is led by

Who do I contact in my county to help with the application?

The application process requires a collaborative effort at the county level. To obtain all the information necessary to complete the application, the following people will most likely need to be involved.

  • County superintendent
  • County facility director
  • County transportation director
  • School or county nutrition and wellness coordinator(s)
  • School principal
  • School teacher
