Application

To start your application for recognition as a WV Sustainable School, send a letter of intent email to sustainableschools@wvde.state.wv.us by October 31, 2013. By sending a letter of intent, you are under NO obligation to continue with the application process; there are no consequences for not completing the application. All schools that submit a letter of intent will be contacted individually and offered technical assistance through the application process. There will be an application workshop held on October 28, 2013 in Charleston, WV. Please try to attend this workshop.

The letter of intent for schools should include:

  • School name, address and phone number
  • School website
  • Contact name, address and phone number
  • Contact email
  • Principal's name (if different from contact)
  • Grades that are served by your school
  • A brief description of your school's programs, initiatives, or curricula that fulfill the criteria of the WV Sustainable Schools program.
  • Can you attend a workshop on October 28, 2013, in Charleston, WV?

The letter of intent for counties should include:

  • County name, central office address and phone number
  • County website
  • Contact name, address and phone number
  • Contact email
  • Superintendent's name (if different from contact)
  • A brief description of your county's programs, initiatives, or curricula that fulfill the criteria of the WV Sustainable Schools program.
  • Can you attend a workshop on October 28, 2013, in Charleston, WV?
