Application

To start your application for recognition as a WV Sustainable School, send a letter of intent email to sustainableschools@wvde.state.wv.us by October 31, 2014. By sending a letter of intent, you are under NO obligation to continue with the application process; there are no consequences for not completing the application. All schools that submit a letter of intent will be contacted individually and offered technical assistance through the application process.

The letter of intent for schools should include:

  • School name, address and phone number
  • School website
  • Contact name, address and phone number
  • Contact email
  • Principal's name (if different from contact)
  • Grades that are served by your school
  • A brief description of your school's programs, initiatives, or curricula that fulfill the criteria of the WV Sustainable Schools program.

The letter of intent for counties should include:

  • County name, central office address and phone number
  • County website
  • Contact name, address and phone number
  • Contact email
  • Superintendent's name (if different from contact)
  • A brief description of your county's programs, initiatives, or curricula that fulfill the criteria of the WV Sustainable Schools program.
