Mind Map

The Mind Map can be used as a graphic organizer for Brainstorming.  By using this, a teacher can get a look inside the mind of the student.  When given a topic, the student can draw whatever he or she imagines about the topic.  The student could also use clip art or pictures from a magazine.  This graphic organizer can also be used as a “Getting to Know Students” activity.  The student will fill the Mind Map with images that tell about his or her interests, then use it as a prompt for an introductory speech.
