Book Adventure is a reading motivation program for children in grades K-8. Children create their own book lists from more than 7,000 recommended titles, take multiple choice quizzes on the books they've read, and earn points and prizes for their literary successes. Book Adventure was created by and is maintained by Sylvan Learning.

This site is free for all U.S. students with qualifying disabilities, thanks to an award from the U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs. It offers approximately 90,000 digital books, textbooks, teacher-recommended reading, periodicals and assistive technology tools. Through an award from the U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs, Bookshare offers free memberships to U.S. schools and qualifying U.S. students.

Find a Book, West Virginia
Parents can help their children find exciting new books tailored to their own interests or school assignments through a free online search tool, dubbed Find a Book, West Virginia. This tool allows users to build custom reading lists based on each student's individual interests from a growing database of fiction and nonfiction titles. The database also allows students to locate books that best complement their reading ability based on Lexile measures. A Lexile measure represents both a child's reading ability and the difficulty of a text, like a book or magazine article. It is derived from the WESTEST2 given to students every year.

SlimeKids
School Library Media Kids is designed to provide an interactive learning experience to get students motivated to learn on their own. Students can choose from exceptional literacy-related resources, such as author and book review websites as well as superb educational tools, including reference works and search engines.

We Give Books
We Give Books is a free website that enables anyone with access to the Internet to put books in the hands of children who don't have them, simply by reading online. For every book read, We Give Books donates one to the charity chosen on its site.
