Achieve21 Presentations

Achieve21 is a program designed to provide individualized instruction through extended time (before or after school or during non-instructional days) by a certified teacher for PK-12 students who are not currently performing at a level reflective of mastery of the identified content standards and objectives or college or career readiness. Achieve21 teachers have a unique opportunity to work with a diverse group of students representing a variety of academic needs at all programmatic levels:

  • PK students who have exhibited difficulty with phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, comprehension, vocabulary or weakness in foundational skills in number sense;
  • Grade 3-12 students who have demonstrated only partial mastery of critical skills in any content assessed by WESTEST2;
  • Grade 8-12 students who are not scoring at or above the ACT EXPLORE or PLAN benchmarks for college and career readiness; or
  • High school students exhibiting deficiencies in performance on formative classroom assessments designed to target critical course objectives in any credit-bearing technical, general, honors, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or world language course (virtual, face-to-face or blended) leading to acceptance into a post secondary program of studies.

The presentations on this site were developed to assist the Achieve 21 tutors with designing individualized instruction for specific students. The presentations consist of PowerPoint slides with a voiceover that explains the topic addressed. Although these presentations were developed to assist Acvhieve21 teachers, we believe other teachers may use these materials for professional growth.
