Greetings,

      If you have ideas about activities, programs, processes you use to get your students career and college ready, processes to enhance post-secondary transitions, or information about how you use the PLAN, EXPLORE, or ACT to enhance your students’ school success/post-secondary readiness; we encourage you to submit a proposal to present at the annual ACT conference to be help in Charleston in February.  See below.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS 

2013 Annual West Virginia ACT State Organization Conference 
Wednesday, February 27, 2013
Marriott Charleston Town Center, Charleston, WV

The annual West Virginia ACT Conference brings together approximately 200 educators from across the state that represent high school administration, guidance, curriculum and instruction, testing, assessment and research, enrollment management, admissions, tech prep, college access, and retention. Conference topics will focus on our continued efforts to build collaborative relationships between educators across all instructional levels to ensure student readiness for a successful transition from high school to postsecondary education. 

We invite you to share your ideas, techniques, and experiences with fellow educators by presenting or co-presenting a session at the conference. We are looking in particular for session proposals focused on the following topics: 

*	Programming or communication collaboration between secondary and postsecondary institutions or middle school and secondary institutions 
*	Recruiting, retaining, and supporting specific populations – adult students, military students, students of low socioeconomic status, students of color 
*	College and career readiness programming and conversations 
*	Remedial and developmental education 
*	Understanding and comparing postsecondary credit options
