Welcome to the File Cabinet of the Office of Assessment, Accountability and Research. On this page you will find a variety of documents that the office has provided for your use. We have attempted to consolidate all of our files avalable on the Office of Assessment, Acountability and Research (OAAR) website into a single location. From here you can quickly jump to the correct file drawer by clicking on the name next to the file cabinet image that corresponds to the correct topic. Once there you will find the files for this topic sorted from most recent post to oldest post.

The files in the File Cabinet are stored in a number of different file types. One of the most common file types on this page is PDF, this file type was created by Adobe Acrobat and needs to be viewed with Adobe Acrobat Reader. Many of the files below are Microsoft Office documents, you can commonly find MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Excel files. Please note that the West Virginia Department of Education uses Microsoft Office 2007, therefore some of these files may be in the newer format. If you download a Microsoft document from this site whose file extension ends with an x, for example sample.pptx, and you do not have Microsoft Office 2007 you will need to download the plug-in from Microsoft to enable you to view the file. Another file format that is becoming more common in our File Cabinet is FlashPaper, these files can be viewed using an Adobe Flash Player which you can download from their site.
