NATIONAL ASSESSMENT OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRESS (NAEP):  Grades 4, 8 and 12

January - March 2009

State NAEP is administered every other year. 2009 is the administration year for Reading, Mathematics for 4th, 8th and 12th grades and Science for 4th and 8th grades. Sample will include 2,500-3,000 students/content/grade.

WEST VIRGINIA EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS TESTS (WESTEST 2) Field Test :  Grades 4-12

September 22-October 3, 2008 Voluntary for Counties (Schools) Sampling plan will have students complete two of the four content area tests.

ALTERNATE PERFORMANCE TASK ASSESSMENT (APTA): Grades 3-8 and 11 and Science Grade 4,6 and 11

April 27-May 8, 2009 Testing Window and Make-Up – APTA. Grades 3-8 and 10: Reading/Language Arts and Mathematics. Grades 4, 6 and 11 complete Science in addition to the Reading/Language Arts and Mathematics.
