Fulbright Teacher Program Offers Exchange In Germany
Posted: November 08, 2004
Charleston, W.Va. - The Fulbright Teacher and Administrator Exchange is offering teachers in grades seven through 12 and two-year faculty teaching in any field an opportunity to participate in a three-part exchange that will pair exemplary U.S. teachers with similar interests in Germany.
The program is designed to offer an exchange opportunity to a wide audience of teachers, to create stronger linkages between all participants, to promote innovative ideas in teaching and programs, and to ensure long-standing impact on the participating schools and districts both in Germany and the U.S.
Educators will have the opportunity to participate in observational study, job shadowing and team-teaching at various locations within Germany with a specific placement at a German school. Placements will be throughout Germany and may be at any type of German school.
The dates for the program start on June 11-26, 2005 for outbound (from U.S. to Germany, two weeks) and late March/early April 2006 for inbound (from Germany to U.S., two weeks).
The deadline for applications is December 31, 2004.
