State Board Of Education Seeking Comment On Key Education Policy

Charleston, W.Va. - Policy 2510: Assuring the Quality of Education/Regulations for Education Programs is currently out on comment following action taken by the West Virginia Board of Education.  

The repeal and replacement of Policy 2510 was approved in order to meet the requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act; to be consistent with current State Board policy and West Virginia Department of Education initiatives; to respond to legislation passed by the 2004 West Virginia Legislature; and to enact recommendations of the Mathematics Five-Year Plan.  

Policy 2510 will remain on comment until October 29, 2004. School administrators and parents are encouraged to review the document and make suggestions on improving the policy. You can find Policy 2510 by logging onto http://wvde.state.wv.us/policies/
