State Board of Education to Meet in Charleston

September 10, 2003

The State Board will meet for a work session beginning at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2003 in the State Board Conference Room, Capitol Building 6, Room 353, 1900 Kanawha Boulevard East, Charleston, WV. Agenda items for the work session are: Election of Officer(s); Internet Safety for Students and Parents, State Board Self-Assessment, Reinventing Education - Resources For No Child Left Behind, Policy 2520.4 - Social Studies Content Standards and Objectives for West Virginia Schools, Policy 2444.4 - Issuance of High School Equivalency Diploma, Policy 2250 - Process for Approving Programs to Supplement West Virginia Public School Curriculum, Position Paper on the Value of Pre-Kindergarten Education, Policy 2422.8 - Medication Administration (Information/Discussion), Policy 4110 - Attendance, Policy 5309 - County Superintendent Performance Evaluations, Legal and/or Personnel Matters, and future meetings.
