State Superintendent Applauds Participation in Audio Journal Posted: August 11, 2003 CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Educators throughout West Virginia are recognized for taking advantage of a professional development tool that is available at their fingertips. State Schools Superintendent Dr. David Stewart extended his congratulations this week to several counties who have actively participated in the Audio Journal, an electronic learning community. Each month educators logged on to learn the latest in professional development opportunities and to listen to messages from education leaders, including Stewart. “The Audio Journal is such an innovative way for educators to stay abreast of the latest in education,” said Stewart. “I applaud the educators who took the time and visited the site each month and to those provided feedback on various topics.” Educators in Harrison County led the state in the number of active participants with 20 and Boone County followed with 12 participants. Educators from other counties recognized for their active participation include Berkeley, Braxton, Brooke, Cabell, Clay, Greenbrier, Hancock, Kanawha, Marion, Monroe, Ohio, Pocahontas, Preston, Putnam and Webster.
