CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) applauds three employees who recently met the requirements for national certification as Indoor Air Environmentalists. Mike Pickens, Ken Hughart and Jennings Davis, P.E., received their certification from the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA).
This achievement has established the West Virginia Department of Education Office of School Facilities as a national leader in Indoor Air Quality for schools.
“This certification is a symbol of excellence more importantly confirms the WVDE’s dedication to children and their atmosphere,” said State Schools Superintendent David Stewart.
This certification allows the Office of School Facilities to act as qualified mold remediators; maintain a close affiliation with hygienists and engineers in the IAQ industry; and enables access to priority resources on the cutting edge of IAQ technology.
