WVDE Employee Recognized at Reading Conference

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The International Reading Association and the West Virginia Reading Association have recognized Beverly Kingery, coordinator for reading/English language arts for the Department of Education for her outstanding work.  

The prestigious award is presented annually to an individual who has made significant contributions in the area of reading supervision. Kingery received the award for her contributions to curriculum, instruction assessment and professional development throughout the state.  

The award is named after Madge McDaniel, the first president of the West Virginia Reading Association.
