Posted: September 03, 2002
A Principal Policy Update Workshop will be held on September 18, 2002 at the RESA I office in Beckley, West Virginia. This workshop has been scheduled in response to requests from a number of principals who were unable to attend one of the Policy Update Workshops for Principals held in August at statewide locations. Co-sponsored by RESA I and the West Virginia Department of Education, Division of Instructional and Student Services, the workshop will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 3:30 p.m. Coffee/juice will be available at 8:30 a.m. and lunch will also be provided. Because there is limited meeting space available, priority will be given to RESA I principals. However, principals from other RESAs may register on a space available basis by contacting Linda Ballard-Price at 1-800-766-7372., extension 314. , or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. These workshops are designed to provide a review of new West Virginia Board of Education policies and related data collection requirements, as well as the latest information about content standards and assessment, the consolidated state application for ESEA funds, and adequate yearly progress. Each principal will receive a resource manual containing valuable and current information to be shared with teachers, parents, and students for the 2002-03 school year. A complete workshop agenda and presentation materials are available on the West Virginia Department of Education website. For general information about the workshop agenda, contact Karen Huffman, Assistant Director, Office of Student Services and Assessment at (304) 558-2546. or by e-mail at email@example.com.
