State Board of Education to Meet in Hampshire County
Board to Visit Schools for the Deaf and the Blind

The State Board will meet for a work session beginning at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, in the School for the Blind Auditorium at the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, 301 East Main Street, Romney.. Following the conclusion of the work session, the Board will attend a 6:00 p.m. senior recognition dinner for the class of 2002. Agenda items for the work session are: Promotional Initiatives Plan, Annual Report, Early Childhood Activities, NASBE Public Relations and Promotional Efforts, State Bar Initiatives in the Schools, WVSSAC Rules, Student and Employee Codes of Conduct, Policy 2510, Policy 5310, and No Child Left Behind Consolidated Application.  

The State Board will meet in regular session beginning at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, June 6, at the same location. President Sandra M. Chapman will preside.
