WV Board of Education to Meet in Wetzel County

The West Virginia Board of Education will meet via teleconference at 9:00 a.m., Friday, May 3, in the Board Conference Room, Capitol Building 6, Room 353, 1900 Kanawha Boulevard East, Charleston. They will discuss and take action on Policy 5902-Employee Code of Conduct and West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Rules.  

The State Board will meet for a work session beginning at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, in the library of Magnolia High School, 601 Maple Avenue, New Martinsville. Following the conclusion of the work session, the Board will attend a reception at the Wetzel County Center for Children and Families. Agenda items for the work session are: Energy Express report, No Child Left Behind Consolidated Plan, SSAC Sanctioning Activities, Promotional Initiatives Plan, Annual Report, NASBE Public Relations and Promotional Efforts, Board Member Manual, and Student and Employee Codes of Conduct.  

The State Board will meet in regular session beginning at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, May 9, at Magnolia High. President Sandra M. Chapman will preside.
