Department to Host Meeting on Grant Funding for Homeless Children and Youth Programs

The West Virginia Department of Education’s Office of Student Services and Assessment will host a meeting for those interested in applying for a grant through the Homeless Children and Youth Program. The meeting will be held from 12:00-3:30 p.m., Monday, April 22, at the Ramada Inn in South Charleston.  

Eligible grant applicants include schools, counties or shelters. The meeting agenda includes discussion regarding recent changes to the McKinney-Vento Act for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth. Criteria for submitting a grant application for funding will also be reviewed.
