Jan Madden, a music specialist and technology teacher at Sherrard Elementary in Marshall County, and Mary Jane Williams, a technology specialist and Spanish teacher at Richwood High in Nicholas County, were among nine educators recognized nationally for their ability to “use technology to teach, inspire and transform.”
The Ed Tech Leader program annually recognizes educators who demonstrate leadership, vision, and creativity in implementing technology in schools and districts. “Although West Virginia is a rural state,” wrote Technology & Learning, “it boasts one of the strongest education technology initiatives in the nation.” Madden and Williams were featured in the December issue of the national publication.
