14 Educators to Participate in WV-FLES Training Posted: July 16, 2001 Fourteen West Virginia educators will participate in the first WV-FLES (Foreign Language in the Elementary Schools) Cadre training at the Charleston Marriott on August 2-3.

View Elementary Monroe RESA 1 Jane McKee Fort Gay Elementary Wayne RESA 2 Carol Harris Magnolia/Matewan HS Mingo RESA 2 Marchetia Bailey Nitro High School Kanawha RESA 3 Denise Workman Sherman Elementary Boone RESA 3 Denise McNeel Pocahontas Co. HS Pocahontas RESA 4 Renee Anderson Hacker Valley Elementary Webster RESA 4 Mary Jane Williams Richwood High School Nicholas RESA 4 Cecilia Andrade Blennerhassett Jr. High Wood RESA 5 Barbara Miller Triadelphia Middle Ohio RESA 6 Amy Rice Ohio RESA 6 Terry McIntosh Franklin Primary Hancock RESA 6 Robin Lewis Rock Cave Elementary Upshur RESA 7 Larry Hedrick Petersburg HS Grant RESA 8 Formation of the WV-FLES Cadre has been made possible through a Foreign Language Assistance Program grant from the United States Department of Education. Members of the FLES Cadre will provide each RESA area with a contact person who will serve as an advocate and resource to schools and school systems that want to implement early foreign language programs. Dr. Carol Ann Pesola Dahlberg, nationally-known FLES author and educator, will serve as presenter and consultant to the new cadre.
