Department Plans Early Language Learning Conference for February 16 Posted: January 26, 2001 The West Virginia Department of Education will sponsor a WV-NNELL (National Network for Early Language Learning) Conference on February 16 at the Embassy Suites in Charleston.
The conference is being sponsored for K-5 teachers and administrators (two teachers and one administrator per county). The program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The conference will promote the development of K-5 foreign language programs. Up to $85 per day will be provided for substitute coverage for teachers, and participating counties will receive a block grant of up to $100 to defray traveling expenses. Teachers interested in attending should contact their county superintendent for a conference application. Persons wanting more information about the conference should contact Deborah M.
