New Career and Technical Instruction Examinations

Posted: September 01, 2008
The Office of Career and Technical Instruction will have a new examination procedure for completers in Career Technical Education during the 2008-09 school term.  The new format will be a performance-based culminating exam.

To introduce this new concept ProStart students and their instructor, Joy Dalton, from the Putnam County Career Technical Center presented a taste of the new exam structure before the West Virginia Department of Education Coordinating Council.  Students demonstrated a part of the exam for the committee and then served canapes that they made as part of the exam.

Students involved in the presentation included  the ProStart West Virginia Culinary Winners for 2008 that represented the state at the National ProStart Student Invitational in San Diego, California.
