CHARLESTON, W.Va. – For more than 50 years, the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program has brought nations of the world together through educational exchange.
And now applications for 2009-2010 are being accepted. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, the Fulbright Teacher Exchange is open to educators and administrators from kindergarten through four-year colleges and universities.
Interested educators must be U.S. citizens, fluent in English, have three years teaching experience, a bachelor’s degree or higher and currently hold a teaching or administrative position. Applicants also must meet country specific, subject level and language requirements. There is no age limit and educators are encouraged to bring their families along on the exchange.

The application deadline for 2009-2010 must be postmarked by Oct. 15, 2008.
