W.Va. Seeks Input on Career and Technical Education

CHARELSTON, W.Va. _ The West Virginia Department of Education and the West Virginia Council for Community and Technical College Education are seeking public input on the future of career and technical education in West Virginia.

Under the provisions of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006, two public hearings have been scheduled for the purpose of receiving public comments and recommendations regarding the state’s plan for career and technical education in the public schools and community and technical colleges of West Virginia. 

These hearings are scheduled for Thursday, March 13, 2008, at the United Technical Center in Clarksburg at 6 p.m., and on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at the Embassy Suites in Charleston at 6 p.m.
