Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Draft Plan Available for Download, Comment

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) was signed into law in August of 1998 and substantially changed the manner in which employment and training services will be provided.  

This plan will serve as the framework for the establishment of the employment and training system redesign in West Virginia. The new law will begin implementation July 1, 2000.

The Governor's Workforce Investment Office fully expects to make revisions to this document during a 30-day comment period. The Governor's Workforce Investment Office encourages interested persons to comment on this plan and offer suggestions and enhancements.
