Classroom Management

Special needs students present both a unique challenge and a wonderful opportunity in the classroom. Today, almost every classroom includes a number of students who may have a special need -- either physical, educational, emotional, or a combination of all three. Novice teachers will be seeking resources to assist them in effectively reaching these students and helping each child meet their potential.  When we differentiate instruction for diverse learners, it allows us to move out of our comfort zone for classroom instruction.  Mentor teachers play a vital role in helping the novice teacher with instruction and classroom management techniques related to special needs students.
