Do:
Students will draw a picture that illustrates at least 3 life cycle stages of a butterfly and a picture that illustrates at least 3 life cycle stages of a human. They will orally present their pictures to Kaz using TL expressions for each stage. |

| Assessment Prompt |
Kaz needs your help again! He is asking for your help to understand the life cycle of a butterfly and a human. You can help Kaz by drawing pictures of the life cycle of a butterfly and a human. You should include at least 3 stages for the butterfly and at least 3 stages for the human. Make sure you give Kaz lots of details so he will understand better!!
When you are finished drawing your pictures, present them to Kaz in the language that he speaks. He is waiting to hear from you! |

The teacher will read the prompt to the entire class

Students will be provided a class period to make their drawings.

On the second day individual students will be called to record/present their drawings to Kaz. The assessment prompt can be stated again for students needing clarification. Other students are engaged in other tasks.

A language–proficient individual will use a rubric to provide feedback for the students. The presentations will be live through Skype or video- taped.
