Qualifications
A high school diploma or G.E.D.; a valid Master Electrician License by the WV Fire Marshall’s Office, and the HVAC Work Experience required to complete the NCCER Craft Instructor Certification. Applicant must have a minimum wage earning experience of 4 years or 8,000 clock hours in the field of Electrical Technology and 8,000 clock hours in the field of HVAC. Applicant must possess a Vocational Teaching Certificate or permit to teach the Electrical/HVAC Technician Program. A teaching permit will require the passage of the California Basic Skill Test and the NOCTI test. Applicant also must complete the approved college coursework as directed by the Department of Career Technical Education and WVU Tech for Career and Technical Education teachers. The applicant must have the ability to work cooperatively with others (Team Player).
